Delete Your Account

Use this page to permanently delete your HireInst account and the personal data attached to it. It works for both job seekers and restaurant owners, whether you signed up on the web or in the Android app. If you only want some of your data removed, see requesting data deletion below.

What gets deleted

• Your sign-in identity — email address, phone number, password and any linked Google account. This is erased immediately and permanently; you will not be able to sign in again.
• Your profile and everything in it: name, photo, bio, work history, skills, languages, availability and expected pay. Your uploaded résumé and any identity documents are deleted from our file storage.
• Your job applications and the cover messages and screening answers in them, your saved jobs and saved candidates, and your notification settings.
• Your chat conversations and the messages you sent, and any interview records tied to your applications.
• For restaurant owners: notes and ratings you recorded about candidates, and your link to the restaurant — the restaurant is returned to unclaimed so someone else can claim it later.

How long it takes

Your ability to sign in ends immediately, and your profile disappears from search and from employer listings straight away. The permanent erasure of the data listed above runs automatically within 7 days, and always within the 30 days committed to in our Data Retention & Deletion Policy. The short delay exists so a deletion made by mistake can still be reversed by contacting support before it becomes permanent.

What we keep, and why

A small amount of information survives deletion, and only for these reasons. None of it is linked to a usable account, and none of it identifies you in the app:

• Transaction, invoice and tax records where a payment was made. Indian accounting and tax law requires us to keep these, and we keep them for no longer than the law requires.
• Security and moderation records — for example our internal audit log, and any record needed to prevent fraud, resolve a dispute, or comply with a legal obligation.
• The restaurant listing itself, for owner accounts. A restaurant is a business record rather than personal data; it is unlinked from you and returned to unclaimed.

Request data deletion without closing your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to have data removed. You can delete your résumé, photo, work history and other profile details yourself at any time from Profile → Edit Profile in the app. For anything else — a specific application, a conversation, your verification documents, or a copy of the personal data we hold about you — email support@hireinst.in from your registered email address, telling us what you want removed. We verify that the request comes from you and respond within 30 days, as set out in our Privacy Policy. This is free.

Deleting from the app

You can also delete your account inside the HireInst app. Job seekers: open Profile and choose Delete Account. Restaurant owners: open Settings and choose Delete Account. Both do exactly what this page does.
